Mrs. Allison Curlee is from Long Beach, MS and has been training in dance for over 20 years. She holds a BFA in Dance Education from The University of Southern Mississippi. While studying at USM, Allison was a member of the Repertory Dance Company and both performed in and choreographed works and concerts. She was also the dance chair for Phi Mu Fraternity for 2 years, which required choreographing numerous routines for philanthropic competitions and a 15 minute dance showcase for recruitment. Her dance training includes ballet, modern, jazz, lyrical, tap, hip hop, and contemporary dance styles. She currently teaches math at Ocean springs High School and volunteers after school with a dance club that she founded at OSHS. The Houndettes Dance Club provides an opportunity for dance technique training and a chance to perform during half-time of basketball games for low-income students. Allison is an advocate for the arts and believes that dance training should be easily accessible and affordable for all. she is currently working on her Masters in Educational Leadership and enjoys any opportunity to share her passion for dance with student of all ages.
